ORANGE COUNTY GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTER
Stress can not only ruin your day, but your health. Our team provides superior healthcare to ensure each person can enjoy life in great health.
Our ENT specialists – also known as otolaryngologists – provide a comprehensive range of services for patients of all ages that address a wide variety of problems affecting the ear, nose, and throat such as ear infections, tinnitus (ringing of the ear), snoring, sleep apnea, difficulty swallowing, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Orange County Global Medical Center’s ENT surgery department also addresses thyroid problems and sleep disorders.
Ears (otology). Not only are the ears essential for hearing, but they are also critical for balance. ENT specialists can help with issues ranging from hearing loss to dizziness, in addition to diseases and other conditions affecting the ears. Â
Nose (rhinology). The nose doesn’t just smell, it also serves as an air filter for the respiratory system. ENT specialists can address a wide range of conditions including but not limited to treating allergies, sinusitis, and rhinitis, repairing deviated septums, removing nasal obstructions, and treating migraines.
Throat (larygology). Conditions and diseases affecting the ability to speak or swallow are also treated by ENT specialists. GERD, hoarseness, sore throat, and airway obstructions are just a few of the common throat problems that an ENT specialist can address.
Thyroid. The ENT department goes beyond simply the ears, nose, and throat. Issues affecting the head and neck such as thyroid disease, enlarged thyroid glands, and Grave’s disease are also treated by ENT specialists.
Sleep. Because being able to breathe properly plays an important role in sleeping well, sleep disorders are treated by an ENT specialist. An ENT specialist can help with conditions such as snoring, sleep apnea, and nasal airway obstruction.
